thanks for your topic , i had the same problem with yum and rpm always i have segment fail , i used yum to remove rpm after i see i make an mistake because in a same time i remove yum . i tray to used yum**src.tar.gz to compile them with GCC but a same problem with tar not work i decide to reboot my server where it located at 2000 KM far for me and at this time (after hours ) i waiting my server . i can't access any more, today is Saturday so i call support of my provider no response ... so i am a died man

On Fedora 9, needed to install libXtst.i386 as well for ZendStudio 5.5.1 to work (didn't need JRE 1.5 as per post #2)

(No segfaults either as per post #4)

My experience is that exporting this environment variable only causes a segfault. However, upgrading to java 1.6_u10 solves the problem. This version is currently in beta, but it is available from java.sun.com.

This didn't work for me on Fedora 8. I found that the only thing I could do was revert back to JRE 1.5 as per:

Thanks for the information! It made me think why my 4005WLMi and newer 6465WLMi would not resume from suspend. I figured it out on the 6465 and is actually quite simple: disable all modules that you do not need by adding them to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist with "blacklist module_name". Add the ones that still insist on loading at boot to /etc/modprobe.conf with "alias module_name off". Even with the proprietary ATI driver suspend/resume now works like a charm. Hope this helps others that may encounter this problem.

Using no kernel parameters on x86_64 FC6 - just "kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.20-1.2933.fc6 ro root=LABEL=/ rhgb quiet"

And standard pm-utils-0.19-3.x86_64 rpm

Congratulations! I never succeeded in getting my Acer Ferrari 4005WLMi to resume properly with FC6. Can you please provide more details what you actually did to make it work? Which parameters did you boot the kernel with? Did you have to make any changes in the files located in /etc/pm/? Which BIOS version are you using? Anything else?
